Paul completed his Arts/Law degree with honours in Law in 2004, and became a solicitor in 2005. Paul initially began working in Holley Nethercote's related compliance training business - Compact - Compliance and Corporate Training in 2001. He also completed a Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) in 2007.
Paul's expertise is in commercial and financial service law. Since 2001, Paul has assisted participants in the financial services industry in complying with their legal and compliance obligations, both under the pre and post-Financial Services Reform regime. Participants include:
- international foreign exchange companies,
- dealer groups,
- insurance providers,
- extended warranties providers,
- accountants,
- online dealer or derivative platforms,
- managed funds, and
- financial educators.
Paul regularly assists businesses in acquiring their Australian Financial Services licences, as well as providing ongoing compliance with their legal obligations. He is also involved in AFSL-related litigation and general commercial law-related matters.
Paul's interests outside work are church, surfing, snowboarding, and
blogging. Paul married his gorgeous wife Sarah at the end of 2003, and couldn't be happier.
