The PJC have released the long awaited report on their inquiry into financial products and services. The inquiry examined the current regulation of financial products and services, recent corporate collapses of Storm Financial and Opus Prime, and issues raised during the inquiry. The report made a number of recommendations surrounding:

 

·         Standards of Advice;

·         Disclosure;

·         Remuneration Practices;

·         Transparency, Competency, and Accountability in Licensing;

·         Last Resort Statutory Compensation Scheme; and

·         Financial Literacy.
