Paul completed his Arts/Law degree with honours in law in 2004, and became a solicitor in 2005. Paul initially began working for Compact in 2001. Paul's expertise is in commercial and financial services law.
Since 2001, Paul has assisted participants in the financial services industry in complying with their legal and compliance obligations, both under the pre and post-Financial Services Reform regime. Paul deals regularly with:
- international foreign exchange companies,
- dealer groups,
- insurance providers,
- derivative platform providers,
- managed funds,
- accountants,
- online dealer platforms; and
- financial educators.
Paul regularly assists businesses in acquiring their Australian Financial Services licences, as well as providing ongoing compliance with their legal obligations.
Paul is also involved in litigation relating to AFSL holders, via Compact's related law firm,
Holley Nethercote Commercial Lawyers, and provides other general commercial law-related services to small, medium and large commercial entities.
Paul's interests outside work are church, surfing, snowboarding, and
blogging. Paul married his gorgeous wife Sarah at the end of 2003, and couldn't be happier.
